In 2006, after spending 2 years as a Franchise Development Consultant for RE/MAX of Southern Africa, Grant made the decision to become a full time entrepreneur when he bought a controlling share in the North Durban based real estate company, RE/MAX Panache.
The idea of being in control of his own company excited Grant, despite the fact that as a 27 year old coming in to lead a team of real estate agents, most of whom were double his age, he had never sold a property in a real estate transaction.
When Grant took over the day to day running of RE/MAX Panache, the business had 30 real estate agents in 2 Franchise locations, writing property sales in the region of R300 Million per annum.
Today RE/MAX Panache is the largest real estate company in the Northern suburbs of Durban, with more than 65 high quality real estate agents writing sales in excess of R1 Billion per annum.
The company commands a powerful 40% market share of suburb sales in the premier suburbs of Durban North and La Lucia, and their agents feature prominently on national RE/MAX top producer lists.
Grant's success with RE/MAX Panache was recognised by RE/MAX of Southern Africa in 2014 when they awarded him as their National Broker/Owner of the Year—the highest honour for a Franchise Owner in the RE/MAX organisation. Grant was the youngest Franchise Owner to receive this award.
Grant has spoken at local and international RE/MAX Conventions, and is recognised for the leadership role he plays in the organisation. In both 2009 and 2011 he was awarded the RE/MAX National Leadership Award, and he currently sits as the Chairperson of the RE/MAX National Broker Owner Advisory Council
